Ocean of Love

Music has a major influence on my life as well as throughout my artwork.  Along with past experiences and the inner peace it brings me to release my emotions through paper it is a true gift.
This piece is named "Ocean of Love" its inspired by songs of Jill Stevenson.
She’s an amazing musician, heard her live in Colorado.. if you haven’t heard of her already, I would highly recommend her. http://www.jillstevenson.com/
Her songs are soulful and if I could explain the true meaning of this painting, I would have to express it through a song.
This piece is truly about love and I wanted to share it with you;)

Drop of Tranquility
This piece is a recovery from an end of a devistating relationship, we all have them.
Unfortunately, there is no way around the grieving process.
Denial: “This can’t be happening to me.”
Anger: “Why is this happening? Who is to blame?”
Bargaining: “Make this not happen, and in return I will ____.”
Depression: “I’m too sad to do anything.”
Acceptance: “I’m at peace with what has happened.”
I started out with the large red tear drop in the middle representing the initial stages followed by the blues and greens once acceptance prevailed, my emotions healed and my inner light returned.
This piece is full of energy and is an all time favorite.

Psychological Self Portrait

From my deep passion and emotion to my positive radience,
this has many depths as well.  The ones who know me personally understand the true meaning for all others it is the gift of art.

My Picasso

This piece started out sketching my dad sitting on the couch.  Later to add decorations and symbols from my very own vogue magazine, not knowing until now what it all means:).  Picasso is known for disproportional sizes, small head small hands and large feet.

Impressionism

This I did this piece in the car on a drive on a roadtrip accross the US to visit family.  This picture is from a bridge in Italy, the characteristics of Impressionist paintings include relatively small, thin, visible brush strokes; emphasis on light in its changing qualities (often accentuating the effects of the passage of time).

Surrealism

"The battle between good and evil"
This portrait has many depths.  This represents several things in my life, the battle between good an evil prevails. From the daily decisions in life that make your future to after-life on earth and what is next?

Power in the Flower

This piece was inspired by a beautiful friend whom just graduated college.
The orange and yellow represent her personality and her light.
The green stem for her strength and knowledge, and the purple for her passion in life and everyone that is graced with her presence.
To Amanda with love.
